Fellowships

Supports U.S. juniors with demonstrated financial need who intend to pursue arts, humanities, or social sciences master’s (M.A., M.S., or M.F.A.) or doctoral (Ph.D) programs.

External Deadline: Late March.

Advising & Campus Nomination: Mid-October – Mid-March. 

Pell-eligible U.S. undergraduate students can receive up to $5,000 to study or intern abroad, plus an additional $3,000 for critical language study.

Encourages U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to engage in long-term (a semester or more) study of languages and cultures deemed critical to U.S. national security interests.

Supports U.S. graduating seniors or recent alumni with full tuition and travel support for STEM master’s study at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

U.S. undergraduate and graduate students can learn one of fourteen critical languages and participate in cultural exchange through fully-funded summer study abroad or virtual programs.

The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Academic Exchange, or German Academic Exchange Service, is the world’s second largest international educational exchange. It offers scholarships for undergraduate study abroad, undergraduate Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE), and graduate study in all major fields.

Advising (by appointment): 6-12 weeks prior to your program deadline. 

Provides undergraduate or graduate students with a full tuition scholarship, paid summer internship, and guaranteed employment at Department of Defense (DoD) laboratories.

External Deadline: December 1.

Advising: Mid-August – Late November. 

U.S. graduating seniors, alumni, or graduate students can spend a full academic year abroad building mutual understanding with other nations, while teaching English, conducting research or arts projects, or earning a graduate degree.

U.S. first and second-year undergraduates, who have little travel experience, can explore the culture and history of the UK through fully-funded, short term summer study abroad programs.

Provides up to five years of support for U.S. graduating seniors or graduate students who plan to pursue Ph.D. degrees in STEM fields and demonstrate potential to create transformative solutions to the world's most urgent challenges.

Supports U.S. graduating seniors and graduate students who are pursuing Ph.D. degrees in STEM fields related to Department of Defense research development priorities.

Provides an income-restricted scholarship and paid summer internship for U.S. undergraduates who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science research.

Provides a scholarship and paid summer internship to U.S. sophomores majoring in STEM or teacher education fields related to NOAA's programs and mission.

Funds three years of graduate education at Stanford and membership in the King Global Leadership Program, which prepares scholars to address the world’s most complex challenges.

Provides U.S. veteran and active duty military service members, who have extraordinary leadership potential, with undergraduate or graduate school support.
