UCARE Evaluation Guide

Accessing Your Applications via NuRamp

To access your assigned UCARE applications for review, please navigate to NuRamp, and log in using your UNLcredentials.

1. Once logged in, click on the NuRamp menu button (≡)
2. Select “Internal Competitions”
3. Select “My Reviews”
4. Identify 26-27 UCARE applications by checking the far-right column titled “Competition”

Guidelines for Selection

1. Please familiarize yourself with official UCARE selection criteria.
   Further guidance on the criteria – including how it might appear in proposals – can be located on the UCARE web page (scroll down to“Application Process” > “6. Proposal Outlines & Rubric”).
   1. Clarity and creativity of the project description;
   2. Significance of the research to the field;
   3. Feasibility of design;
   4. Measurable benchmarks for project completion;
   5. An overall recommendation to fund.
2. Norm your expectations to your review group. Read a few applications first to get a feel for the application pool before scoring.
3. Utilize the UCARE Evaluation Rubric to determine scoring and comments.

Special Guidance: Team-Based Proposals

Team-based applications should be read and rated as one application, and each team member's application should receive the same scores. Although team applicants should submit the same proposal, title, and list their team members in theteam section, you might notice that individual goals or benchmarks differ.
